New Reviews: Three more of them; and 200 reviews total! August 1, 2005 (8:19 PM) ( link ) ADDED reviews of Nick Hornby's About a Boy, Charles Palliser's The Quincunx, and Iain Pears's An Instance of the Fingerpost. Them's some good readings.
My review of An Instance of the Fingerpost is number 200. As a complete coincidence, it's also one of the few books I've given a 10--absolutely an amazing novel, though YMMV. I wish I knew what my 100th review was.
Gene Wolfe's The Knight is proceeding slowly, in typical Wolfe fashion. I doubt it'll ever get exciting, so the key is to resist continuing on to something like Jasper Fforde's fourth book, Something Rotten (which is sitting on my family room table---argh).
Eleven reviews to go, including three superb books, two very goods ones, two very good ones, two mediocre ones, and two terrible ones. Then I'll be caught up.
