New Reviews: 3 of them September 24, 2004 (1:06 AM) ( link ) ADDED reviews of Ian Caldwell and Dustin Thomason's The Rule of Four, Dan Brown's The Da Vinci Code, and Ian Macleod's The Light Ages.
These were not the best books I've ever read, but at least the first two were pretty amusing.
I should note that I'm pretty rusty about writing these reviews: in fact, the ones I've posted the last few days are basically the worst I've ever written since I started stocking this page with my unasked-for thoughts. But I thought I might as well start clearing the backlog, and if I really feel bad about how poor some of these reviews are, I can fix them later.
As it stands I'm in pretty good shape on my backlog: only about a month or two behind at this point. I am currently zipping my way through Martha Wells's excellent The Death of the Necromancer, which is utterly straightforward but fun nonetheless. I'm also suffering from a cold, but that's sort of irrelevant.
